I love the color palette. Red is my signature color and I get practically giddy seeing it used in such a lovely way in your home. I think often people shy away from color because they are afraid of messing up with it, but once it is included it really helps make a house more of a home.

I agree with you that a room is never finished. At least, the BEST rooms are never finished, they just keep evolving over time.

I really love retro house. However, I've never been to Ikea. Maybe someday I will go. But I have a tendency to want to buy everything in sight when I go to stores like that. So, perhaps, I may wait until the kids are done with mission and college in a few years. (They are almost 11 and 13 1/2 now...) Ah, well, it seems as though I will have to continue to live vicariously through your fun and stylish pictures. :)
