Years ago, we lived in Wymount Terrace - the old cinderblock apartments. Without much space, my 1- year-old daughter had to share her room with my sewing machine. You guessed it: one day she woke up from her hap a little early, got out of her crib (I don't know how), and finger painted my machine with her.... Never could get it completely clean. When we could afford it, I bought a new machine!

It sounds awful, but for my rather ingenious and michevious little brothers (of which there are four), my mother used to put them in onesies, put pants over it, and DUCT TAPE them together. This was after my brother, at 15 months, thew his poo-filled diaper from his crib onto the bed of our four year old sister. No one likes to have two babies covered in poo.

My daughter went through the same- except at night- she would take off her jammies and then her diaper before going to sleep, and wake up in the middle of the night in a sopping wet bed. So I did the onesie route, and it worked well, until about a few days ago- now she can get the onesie off! So now she is wearing a leotard over the onesie, under jammies :). She is only 20 months, but has always been mixing it up for me since she was born. Hopefully the cheif doesn't figure out the onesie snaps- I don't think you'd want to do the leotard! :) (But sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures!!)

oh, this is such a happy reminder to me to thank you for turning me on to persimmon and pink! i went there and discovered my dream print, peace be still. i bought one for my friend and one for myself and now my print hangs at the bottom of the stairs reminding me every morning to chill out and calm down (i need these reminders often, you see). and how great that she also sends little mini prints with your order?! i have a mini child of god and also a little daily bread print. love.

we just had a "fingerpainting" incident in our house too. we were told onesies help eliminate that problem because they can't reach their diapers. glad everything worked out okay! I love those prints too!
