Here's a bit of warmth for today. There is good in grief, I learned this from Molly Jackson.
p.s. If you live in Utah (or around these parts) The Good Grief foundation is putting on a fundraising concert to help families buy headstones for their children. Click on the poster for more details.

Thanks Jed Wells, and BYUtv for the short.

Oh wow. Thanks for sharing this. I shouldn't have watched it without a tissue, though.
psst *buy headstones*
what a great cause.
My goodness, that was so touching and inspiring. What an honorable cause.
um balling. this is beautiful
okay- this video should come with a warning label, "Tissues will be needed." But what a great cause! Only someone who has been through this could understand and come up with the idea to help pay for headstones. What a great example of good people taking a really crappy experience and doing something good because of it.
This really touched a nerve with me. A week ago this past Monday, my 4 year old son nearly choked on a cough drop. The very first time he'd ever had a cough drop, or any other sort of hard candy. Literally within seconds of putting it in his mouth, he was choking. We were in our cabin in the middle of the woods, so it would have taken too long for an ambulance to get there. I tried the heimlich maneuver, but wasn't sure if I was doing it right. It had been so long since I'd taken the First Aid/CPR course. And when it's your own child, you freeze. You can't believe it's happening. My parents and I were all crying. I thought for sure this would only have a bad ending. I felt powerless. It was in God's hands. And God was watching over my son that day, because he miraculously was able to cough and throw it up some how. I have never been so afraid in my life. And I can't imagine what Vic and Molly must have been through. You never think something could happen to your beautiful healthy baby. Especially from something so simple as eating an apple, or giving a cough drop to a sick child.
