Oh man did we have fun at the St. George Reading. It was so thrilling to meet new people, to listen to new stories and eat new cupcakes. For instance, really good cupcakes.
(Kristin's cupcakes won, hands down.)

I wanted to share a couple of the posts we heard that night. I can't stop thinking about them:
Jenn (who is Justin Hackworth's sister) wrote about sharing a hotel room with five women for an extended period of time. Touching and funny, read it here.
Ronelle (who, with a friend, drove up from California) wrote about her how her dog died when left in the care of a friend. Touching and funny too, read it here. (That's Ronelle and me in the close up shot, from off her blog).
Andrea (who is a kindergarten teacher) wrote about the moment her daughter was born at 26 weeks. Incredible and so personal. I don't think Andrea actually posted the essay on her blog, but you can find similar stories here.
Plus, Haley answered questions about photography. (Pictures should be big on blogs AND close ups are best are two tips to start with.)
And my friend Anne and her mom JoAnn drove down for the evening from Provo. I was amazed. So much love in such a big Rec-center room! Where should we go next?

Las Vegas?
You have so many fans here...
Next you should go to Seattle.
(I'm sure) contrary to popular belief, Idaho Falls would be a wonderful place for you to visit next....

Come to Denver!!!
Davis County!
Thanks for the shout Courtney. It was a wicked good time.
Oh yeah. Come to California and then all of my jealous friends can come with me this time.

hawaii. obvs.
All of the above, I say!! Just give us a bit to save up for the Hawaii one.
I love this idea of reading favorite blog entries. Genius.
Well, I think you should come to the other P-town! Pasco! Where you have adoring fans aplenty!
I still have not gotten back on the blogger wagon. "Somehow" my sweaty post workout t-shirt and pigtails didn't translate as well as I h ad hoped, especially next to your hopelessly beautiful self. Once I find an artistic way to crop myself mostly out of the photo, I'll get'r done. That WAS fun for me! Thanks for coming down to "The Geezy"!
Wow, I wish I could have been there! Sounds like so much fun. Maybe you'll do one in Baltimore one day?
:)
You can come to my house. It's in Lehi. You won't even have to get a hotel. I will make cookies and Postum.
i just clicked on haley warner's blog link and noticed she actually often has the same problem i've been having--blurry photos. i suspect her photos are crisp and clear in their original state, but the quality has been downgraded in uploading them to (or linking to them from)her blog. cjane, maybe you or chup is the person to address this issue, since you don't seem to have a quality issue with your blog photos. how do you do it?
It was great fun! Thanks for coming Courtney. You and your stand-up comedy act and your great husband are welcome here anytime!
And thanks for the blog shout-out :)
San Fransisco, my friend.
