October's Motherlode

1. A set of three Indestructibles books--winners choice! The book inspired by babies, for babies with magnificent vivid illustrations!
2. A first year set of onesies (twelve onesies total) in either "boy", "girl", or "neutral";  or, choose any three t-shirts from Lulu & Jack. Who doesn't love onesies? They are my favorite thing.
3. Sarah Sample, an album on constant repeat around here (even listening to it RIGHT NOW). I want you to have this cd--so I am giving away ONE SIGNED CD! (If you don't win this album here, I think you should buy it and pretend I bought it for you. Ok?)
4. Two NewTree Dark Milk 51% Cocoa bars--dark milk chocolate with pure natural vanilla from Belgium. One for you, one to share.
5. One gorgeous print of J. Kirk Richard's Mother and Child and one package of Christmas cards with the same print. I am so excited to have this in the Motherlode I can't stand it. See more about this painting here and here. THANK YOU KIRK!
6. My hero Whitney is throwing in one custom-made vintage baby quilt from her Pretty Swank Etsy shop. Yes, this is worth about $80.00 and she's just giving it away. We love the quilt she made for Ever . . . actually, love is an understatement.
7. I handmade my own Basa Body products when visiting the HQ last week. I have three Citrus Splash Scent Lotions and three Basa Body Sticks ready to give away to the lucky winner. Remember: I made them with love, a lot of love, maybe too much love? No, just the right amount.
8. One Half Tee of your choice. And you can't go wrong because Half Tees are like your best friend. Only better because the don't get jealous of your awesome hair.
9. One yellow striped bow bag from Freshly Picked. I think we picked the last one for this giveaway. I use my own yellow striped bag daily, hourly, minute-ly. I LOVE FRESHLY PICKED!

OK, you want in right?

Rules:

4. One winner will be announced on Thursday, November 4th.

Lisa in Fort Worth

I love fall, finally cools down in Texas and I love the north wind.
And the comfort foods that can finally be made with out heating up the house. Makes me miss Iowa though.

Favorite moment of October 2010... Taking my "baby boy" to the temple in preparation for his mission. I LOVE being a mother. Year after year, for nineteen years, it just gets better and better. Don't let anyone tell you any different.

I love that we went on a trip to St. George UT in October and visited my husband's 80 something year old Grandma and Grandpa. They are hilarious!

I loved dressing my two little boys up for halloween as Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat. They were adorable and I spent the whole month excited about their dress up. :)

My favorite thing about October was that my good husband agreed to dress up as a dog catcher when he came home to find me in my costume, a chubby old lady holding a "lost dog" sign (the dog may have been lost or found somewhere in the backside of my costume...but I don't know for sure because I couldn't see it). ;) I have pictures if you need to visualize. ;)

I love October for two reasons, my son's birthday and my birthday. I also love it for crisp mornings and changing colors.

I've loved the rainy days we've had here in LA -- we're in the middle of a heatwave now, but I know fall is just around the corner for us. (I hope!)

My favorite thing about October is I found out I am expecting for the first time! I have been as sick as a dog, so I think these gifts would really brighten my day... especially since so many of them are for babies!

My favorite thing about October was that the weather in Arizona cooled down! Happy days ahead!

I love October! For so, so many reasons! I love to see the leaves changing colour and falling delicately onto my back lawn. I love Hallowe'en and seeing how imaginative the neighbours are at decorating their houses and dressing up their children; it really brings the neighbourhood together and I love it! There is such a positive feeling on the street when the kids all go trick or treating. Plus, all that candy: who could say no?! Yum yum!!

I love October because it means that cool weather is finally on its way to cool the sheets in the desert of AZ.

I love October as it is the beginning of fall. The leaves change colors, there is a clean, crispness in the air. It's like after a busy summer, fall makes you stop and take a breath.

October is my favorite month of the year. Mostly because it is when I get to start baking with pumpkin.

My favorite thing about this month is that this is the first month in 2010 that my husband and I have gotten to live together the ENTIRE month. He spend a portion of 2010 deployed, including a stop to help in Haiti, and after that we lived on opposite coasts of the USA. Its amazing how much living apart can make you appreciate living together.

I LOVED seeing my 2-year-old, bumble bee clad daughter march around in the cake walk circle at the elementary school Halloween carnival over and over and over and over again last weekend. Her bumble bee antenna bounced up and down while she walked and she had the time of her life. I love how little kids totally remind you how to enjoy the many simple pleasures life has to offer.

My favorite thing about October is that the weather here in TX finally starts to cool down! I love all of the stuff in the Motherlode Giveaway! We have a son who is 9, a daughter who is in heaven and would have been 4 this January, and we are expecting again! We have waited a long time for this special baby to come to our family. I keep thinking how much fun I would have using so many of those cute things with our new baby. Thanks so much for your great blog, I love it!

October is my birthday month. I turn 39 EVERY year and I love October.
PS - This is better than Oprah's favorites....I have purchased half-tees per your recommendation and today I got in the US Mail some awesome lotion and 2 BASA body sticks. I would love nothing more than to be a winner in your October's Motherlode giveaway.
XOXOXO

THIS October was extraordinary for me. I turned 40 on 10.10.10!

Yippee!!!

My birthday was on a Sunday, my favorite day of the week, AND a day that I could keep my family home to enjoy. I soaked up every minute, and didn't even take a nap so I wouldn't miss a thing!

ALSO my mom, who lives in California, is currently staying with me while she is undergoing breast cancer treatment at THE (insert Huntsman Cancer Institute here) best cancer treatment center in the WORLD so I got to be with my mom all day as well! I am honored to have her with me so that my hubby, kids and I can help her through this journey.

On top of all of that, we've had some amazing fall weather ranging from warm sun to early snow to raging winds and rain. Homemade soups, breads and pumpkin desserts have been thoroughly enjoyed in my home during this fabulous time of year!

P.S. A mammomgram is how my mother's cancer was detected. Tell all your fam and friends to get one and you go get one too!

I love October best of all because the bugs die, the leaves wear their best outfits, and my kids are cute as bunnies in their halloween costumes.

Picking apples at our local apple farm. Baking and eating Martha Stewart's Apple and Sour Cream Crumb Cake, too.

Ok, so that's three things, not one.

The cooler weather! It was hot here in hotlanta.

wow! very last minute, but I might as well try to get in this with all the wonderful things to be given away! My favorite thing of last month was seeing my little almost 3 year old policeman get excited about trick or treating for the first time. And then having fun with his innocence as the "candy fairy" came to take his candy away to give to other boys and girls who don't have any, and left him with a special surprise for sharing!

Something I've loved about October is that it stayed kind of warm for a while here in Utah. Until it snowed (which I didn't love). AWESOME giveaway!!!

I loved spending time with my family making our costumes for Halloween. We always have the best time working on them and coming up with ideas for next years costumes.

I have loved the warm fall evenings we have been having to take walks with my kids to hunt for owls! It's a little tradition we have started for halloween and it is super awesome and the kids love it! We have yet to find one but one of these days we will spot one!

I've though about this at it took me two seconds to decided! I love October 2010 because on the 16th My siblings along with everyone's spouses got together and played games and laughed and ate and laughed and joke and laughed. It was a mircale. Really a miracle! I'm the third of eight....and I know you come from a large family so I'm sure you understand.

My favorite thing about October was that my 9 year old nephew made his first touchdown in little league football. He lives in Virginia, and my sister and I were texting and calling like crazy. Screaming etc! It was a big deal for this little kid.

I'm so new here, cjane...but I'm taken! My favorite thing about this October has been the beautiful conversations I've had with friends in my sweet Nashville home over homemade biscotti with chocolate ganache. (Not made by my hands, but...la la:)

In October I LOVED snorkeling off the coast in COSTA RICA with my husband. Four days away, sans kiddos. Once in a lifetime!!

My favorite thing about October was finding out that we are having another girl...which brings us to 3 girls and 3 boys. And the best part was that are little 5 yo who has autism prayed this baby into my belly and told us God told him it was a baby sister before the Dr. ever did :)

I am pregnant with my fourth and oh so sick and when I saw those onsies, it made my heart sing! I found out I was pregnant the beginning of October, so that was very happy. If I can just get a girl this time, it will be even better next October (but boy babies are sure great too)! cjane, you're the best. Seriously.

October was slightly stressful, but then after waiting the entire month, was finally approved for my biopsy and then there was Halloween!
