oh c jane, let me tell you... my husband and i are living in london for a year. we're from southern alberta which has a very large lds community (have you heard of the Cardston temple?) so we're very used to seeing the missionaries walking around our town (who i adore, by the way, nicest people ever). anyway, in london there are NO lds (or so it seems). one day, at victoria train station, there was a MASSIVE GROUP of lds missonaries, about 30 kids all decked out in their suits and nametags. and i almost cried, it made me so homesick. i'll keep my eye out for your brother!

Just loved reading his blog. I am from the US but have lived here in the UK (about 2 hours drive from London) for 19 years. London is a wonderful city and it is so cool to see it from your brothers point of view. Funny!

So why does he get to go to London every summer? And how can I do something like that? :) I love reading all your blogs!

I never had any desire to visit London, then last year my mom convinced me to go with her for a week, and it was amazing.

Fantastic.

Fantabulous.

Basically, London is everything I want to be.

And now I miss it.

dear c jane...I was wondering about the white/orange bench in nie's house. you know, it's in the "my new life" video and then she just had a post called 'sunday' that's in those pictures too. where did she get it?
thanks for being so great.

Dear C Jane,
I'd love to know how you and Stephanie are able to afford your life style. I am a SAH mom with two little ones. My husband is a teacher who works an extra job in the summer to help me SAH. We have no debt but still need to live frugally with only one salary. I see you and Stephanie with shoes from Nordstroms, expensive clothes, cell phone/plans, rugs from Pottery Barn, you seem to eat out alot. I shop at consignment shops, have a garden, use a pay as you go phone only for emergencies and still my DH needs to work extra so I can SAH. Eating out is a considerably luxury. I pray about not being jealous, but I would like to know how you two manage to do it!

I love London. I can imagine that London with your brother Topher, or any Clak for that matter, is the best visit to London ever. I am off to read Topher's blog.

Can I ask you where stephanie got her rug under her dining room table? I know several people have asked before but I haven't been able to find an answer. Thanks so much! By the way LOVE your daughter's name:)

Joanna and Erin-

The bench is from Pottery Barn. It is called the "Blanca Settee" and the fabric is "Gabrielle Jacquard" in the "Clementine" color.

The rug is also from PB. It is the "Bridget Rug" and the color is "Sprout Green" (item #35-9747841).

They both are from 2008.
