i married the most sentimental
man on this planet.
he doesn't throw away things
because he has such
tender
and hopeful
feelings for his stuff.
("that shirt will fit again someday!")
this includes clothes
toys and pencils.
you should see his basement office . . .
i was looking at the etsy shop
annily green
and read that she is
making memory pillows/
wall art
out of old shirts
baby clothes
blankets etc.
with chup's love of
stuff
and my love for pillows
and wall art,
this might be a resolution
to our situation.
check out her goods here.
i am c jane, and i am a self-professed non-sentimentalist

You will never regret it. One of the most amazing, kind, wonderful things anyone ever did for me was to make a quilt for me out of my mother's t-shirts and some favorite dresses after she passed away quite suddenly. To be able to literally wrap myself in tangible reminders of her is a gift beyond words. And I already have (carefully edited) tshirts saved for my boys from their early t-shirts and playsuits. Thanks for the great find!
I am guessing (if you are a non-sentimentalist) this means you decided against turning your pink skirt into a pillow?
Oh my pink skirt! Just when I was beginning to forget how much I loved that piece of joy . . .
So sorry to remind! If it makes you feel any better, I've never had a skirt as great as your pink skirt was.
I'm sure it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all...
courtney, i just put up a new pillow that is spicy like your living room! thank you for the nice post.
I have two of her pillows. I love them. Everyone compliments them. I might have to get more
