. . . blue dress? blue shoes?

i simply cannot sing
the sweet praises of
second-hand shopping
enough
on
this
blog.

i found this lanz dress
in the recesses of deseret industries
i was really thrilled
with myself
for this find,
partially because it is a dress with pockets
(heaven bless the dress with pockets!)
and partially because my mother
raised me to love lanz
be it a dress or an overgrown
nightgown.

i also like that little
perched collar
and the green piping.

on the other hand . . .

the blue shoes are
steve madden
and i paid
full price for them at
nordstrom.

two weeks later
my friend azucar
found the same pair
for half the price
at t.j. max.

you win some,
you lose some.

here is another look:

(man i love this dress.)

I didn't even know Lantz was a popular brand. I read your post and remembered that I have one of those in my etsy shop! Thanks for the info.

Yesterday, I treated myself to a trip to Goodwill and found an Eddie Bauer linen jacket for $5 (probably about $60 new). So pleased with myself! I might make it over to Deseret Industries today. Nothing like a thrift store treasure to brighten your day! It's even more fun thrifting when not a poor college student.

Love the dress - it's you! I want to know where Stephanie got her cute bench/settee. The white and orange one below the mirror. Aren't you glad we're so ... something?! Thanks.

I have been in love with that dress the second I saw a picture of you in it!! I live in CA, so I don't think we have any DI stores here? And Lanz...I've never heard of the brand. But I'll be sure to remember it!

Dear CJane,

All morning long I've had to stop myself from eating my armpits. First day using Basa as a deodorant. So wonderful.

Love,

Lanz!! Oh the memories that brings back.

I think I even wore a Lanz dress to a High school dance. Times have changed! None of the prom girls at Tucanos last Saturday looked like they were wearing anything close to Lanz. Their loss.
