Zurchers Balloon Pump

it's the little things right?

it is a family tradition to add
balloons to the mix of christmas morning
and this year i had the perfect
sea-foamy green pearl balloons for the occasion.

but when pregnant i seem to have a lack in oxygen
(breathing for two?)
and blowing up balloons . . .
well . . .
blows.

so this year i went to zurchers
and bought their $6.43 balloon pump
worked like a charm.
christmas morning came with a dozen
translucent balloons
bubbling on the living room floor.

little did i know this insignificant balloon pump
would become the best christmas gift of all.

the chief daily asks for a new "boon"
chup loves the design, "of course! it is swedish!" he says
and i like to chase both of them around the house
blowing air into their faces.
oh the family fun . . .

i know,
who would've ever thought i would blog
about a balloon pump?

but really,
it's pretty cool little gadget.

buy it here.

you know about cat in the hat

what about a cat hat?
tomorrow . . .

Target used to have a set of balloons and a pump in the dollar (or 2 dollar) bins in the toy section. Can I tell you that thing saved my children from utter destruction on a camping trip with the in-laws? Because it did.

Santa filled my 5-year-old's stocking with the same thing (but from Target, and $3 cheaper) and it has so far been everybody's favorite! Ridiculous.

We inherited our "balloon popper" from grandma. Why is it a balloon popper instead of a balloon blow-er-upper? Who knows. It is always out, never where it's supposed to be, and none of the balloons ever end up tied, because my little child of God can blow up balloons, but not tie them. Which leaves little deflated balloons all over the floor for the vacuum to find. The simple joys of life!

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this post, but when I came across this etsy shop from a friend's blog, I instantly thought of you and your crocheted bracelets. This is so cute!

You look fabulous in that pink dress! You wear "Motherhood" very well. Is the dress a maternity dress? If not where can we find it? Also, loved your post about the "Chief". Could totally relate to kids and napping. Thanks for the read.

I purchased one of those Target pumps a while back and the 'wonderful deal' I got fell apart within a week. I got it because my mother has had one of the ones mentioned in cjane post. My mother purchased hers from Zurchers party store and it has lasted for quite some time with heavy abuse from my children and many other grandchildren who love to play with the poor thing. Mind you, if you are careful with it great, but my experience has been you get what you pay for.

Kristen, what you said about balloons never getting tied . . . lol so true.
