I wanted Sheri to have something that she could treasure. I had her sons initials put on two round discs and had a small pearl drop added to the chain. It is so delicate. My boys used to say that to me whenever they said goodbye when they were little. Now that they are teenagers the thought of that necklace brings back sweet memories of little boys who loved to cuddle and give kisses and who always had the last word for how much and how far their love spanned.

She is battling cancer for the 2nd time and while the doc hasn't said it's terminal, he makes it seem like she'll be on some form of chemo for the rest of her life. I Love the Mama Bird necklace. While having my son's name on a charm would be adorable, I think the mama bird charm would be ideal for the long term because who knows when and if another baby will join my family.
