amanda barker's halftees

i bought two halftees the other night
i wore my first one today
i can't tell you the freedom i felt
of having less fabric
swimming around in my
middle section.

halftees are the clever invention
of amanda barker
a mother to five children.
she thought them up one day
and years later
decided to actually produce them.

halftees eliminate
all the underbunchings of
t-shirts
but help in covering up the parts
you'd like to keep under wrap
(aka my ample cleavage).

they are made with soft cotton
installed with a comfortable band
at the bottom
(to stay put)
and
come in short
and long
sleeved varieties.

they are perfect for pregnant bellies
easy access to the chest for
breast feeding
but mostly,
a dream come true
for any girl.

you can read more
see more
or shop
here.

or see my cross-linked post
on c jane's Guide to Provo
here.

p.s.
they run just a little big
(in my opinion)

tomorrow i answer the burning question
. . . nie's living room paint color?
it's been a favorite of the inbox.

Hmmmm...if I had a stomach like that, would I really cover it up with a second shirt? Me thinks not! Seriously, have you ever seen a more beautiful belly button than the one on the model?! Joking aside, what a great idea! I've been buying cami tanks that are about 3 sizes too small and wearing those under my shirts. This is soooo much better. Now, do you think I will get the belly button if I put on the half-shirt?

These look really nice. But if you're looking for ones without sleeves, a friend just showed me these.

Way cool that this woman turned her idea into a business. I always find that so inspiring!

These are amazing. You can buy them at the University Mall in Orem, UT just outside Crazy 8. I love mine. It is perfect under dresses where I don't want to see a line or feel like I need to reach under my dress every time I stand up to pull my "layered" shirt down. THANKS AMANDA for solving my problem. You are genius.

Mia Bellina carries these also and their neckline isn't quite as high.

I love the high neckline. I bought some ts at motherhood maternity & I couldn't even wear them because I felt like I was going to fall out of the top--not to mention how nice it would be to not have to keep tugging down on the bottom of the shirt! Next pregnancy (hoping there is one), I want some of these to go under EVERYTHING! Thank you.

I wore something like this while I was a cheerleader. It is nice not to have all the fabric making you hot and sweaty!

This reminds me of something a friend of mine makes for nursing moms -- modest middles. It's basically a T-shirt with a large U-shaped opening the ends just below your bra line, that you wear under your "cute clothes" so your tummy and sides are covered while you breast feed. http://www.modestmiddles.com/

these are awesome. I'll have to get some to wear with my belly bands.

I'm nursing and I LOVE this!! It makes it so easy and leaves me not feeling half naked, worrying if my lovely post baby muffin top is showing ;)
Also can't wait until summer - this will be perfect to make all those cute Forever 21 sassy outfits MODEST!
love, love

I called Amanda and am going to have a party. I am so excited. Anyone who had a party gets a free half tee! What a bonus! Also she said plus sizes are coming... yea!

Thanks Courtney! I've been looking for something just like this to go under a dress I bought months ago. I order some and in 3 days they were here- all the way to Alabama. I love 'em. Thanks for the tip!

i too have wondered about Nie's paint color...too bad I didn't wait to paint, my boy's bathroom green didn't turn out as hoped! paint is so tricky!

I can't stand copycat companies. Hapari.com invented these many years ago and they are much better quality. see http://www.hapari.com/half-tees/
