due to an especially high frequency of responses
dear c jane is taking a short blogger break
to figure some things out

. . . your mosaic table?

shortly after we married
chup and i decided
the dinning room table
we inherited from a model condo
needed to be more "us"
and less
"model condo."

for years i had saved broken dishes
hoping that the perfect mosaic opportunity
would arise.

and it did.

we spent the first six months of our marriage
working on this table
piece-by-piece.
in the process i gained a
weird fascination for orange county choppers
and more adoration for my husband.

when we finished the project
we had a party
and a
better marriage.

a couple months ago
we decided to get a new dinning table
so chup cut the legs off our mosaic table
and it became our new coffee table.

when dear c jane started
i didn't realize

how much feedback i'd get.

emails come knocking daily
requesting, wondering, asking
and i simply can't keep it all straight.
