. . . to disable right click?

so it sounds like everyone is getting plagiarized these days
and it is most annoying

bloggers of all backgrounds
have written in to ask how to
disable the 'right click' function
on their blog

this article explains how to do it

(thanks amy for the heads up!)

. . . the purple jacket?

the purple jacket, yes.
it will always hold two memories for me

the day i said the pledge
on capitol hill in salt lake

and the day i ran into
chup's former obsession
at target.

the purple jacket, yes.
it was a gift to my mother
from my grandma
which i high jacked one night

i am probably right to guess
j c penny
but i can't know for sure
because i gave it away
to the next someone
who needed it.

the sisterhood of the traveling purple quilted jacket?
perhaps.

. . . the play kitchen?

last decemeber
i wrote about searching for a kitchen
to complete jane's christmas.

thanks to tips from good friends,
and an alert contact at costco,
we bought this retro kitchen.

it is made out of wood
and pleases the toddler set.

(it may have been too small for jane
which maybe why it is still at our house
but in the meantime, the chief is learning
how to bake to perfection.)

. . . your lipstick?

my sister's lipstick
my lipstick
where do we get it?
i get this one question a lot.

we are among the adoring fans at the mac counter.
i just bought a shade in purple (chup says "too purple")
with matching gloss.

anyway,
how could anything be too purple?
that concept doesn't even exist.

p.s. my little provo blog is doing a little give away.

. . . new side bar notes?

*i la la love my print from sparkle power.
and it comes in turquoise
to match my bedroom carpet!

*the year my son and i were born
from my own brave editor kathy soper,
comes a very personal book about the premature birth
and down syndrome diagnosis of her son thomas.
as i read it,
while my baby was sleeping,
i was able to see myself in her journey.
every few pages,
i'd stop and stare at my son in his crib.
this book made me connect to motherhood
in ways i had not yet experienced.
an emotional read.

*brian kershisnik paints the way i want to feel.
we love having his nativity in our home.
he has been a generous friend to our family.

. . . in on a good consignment sale?

i am so glad you asked.

if you live a long the wasatch front,
you'll be interested in seeing what came
in my inbox the other day from courtney of consigner designer:

I am hosting a huge Women's Designer Consignment Event this September 4th and 5th. In a nutshell... this is a two day sale where women can consign their designer merchandise with us and receive 70% of what their items sell for. It works similar to a traditional consignment store with a few differences:

1. We do not have a store- this is a 2 day sale in Salt Lake City
2. Consignee's receive 70% of what their items sell for (which, if you have consigned at a traditional consignment store... you understand how much higher of a % you are getting)
3. YOU name the price you want your items to sell for
4. You get a check within 5 days of the close of the sale (No more waiting around for your money for weeks/months)

Anyhow, we have a lot of women in the area already signed up with designer merchandise from: Fendi, Seven, Citizens for Humanity, Hudson, Bebe, Arden B, Steve Madden, and more.

about how you can get involved
either as a buyer or seller

thanks for the heads up courtney and hailey!
