Oh my goodness, I love this painting so much! I saw the original at the BYU MOA a while back, and fell in love! I stood in front of it and cried for about 10 minutes. Beautiful!

I Love that painting!! I've never seen it, but find it so beautiful in thought and feeling. Where could one obtain such a print?

You are going to hate this part because I am being peevish. Don't write (or say) "entitled" when you mean "titled." Entitled is to "furnish with a right," as in royalty or something, not necessarily earned, mind you. Titled means "to provide with a title:confer a name on." Most of the time I am so impressed with your writing and I applaud you. I was disappointed with your usage today. That doesn't mean I will quit reading. You are entitled to make a mistake once in a while. :)

Yes, I see my own mistake. I know where to get it. Where you so kindly told me. Thank you.

Thanks Ginger Tea, I am always grateful for help. I don't get enough time to edit.

I've wanted this painting for a while. I hope I can someday!

Actually, 'entitled' would have been/was correct as well. (It does also mean to give something, i.e. a text or work of art, a title.)

the first entry in the OED is 'to furnish a work with a heading,' so entitle away, cjane!

I love that painting. The original is amazing.

FYI: You can buy prints of that work at the BYU Museum of Art.

Entitled was used correctly; I teach English.

Thank you! Thank you! I spent the evening enjoying the talk on MOAcast. Very interesting to listen to an artist, swimming in his thoughts and ideas, try to convey them to the listeners. I have been fond of his work since I joined the LDS church almost 10 years ago, but never knew his name. Thanks for making the connection for me.

I've never had a piece of art strike me as that one has. I am so tempted to buy it but I am thinking it's an odd size to fit a standard frame.... the frame would probably cost a small fortune.

PS You used 'entitled' correctly. Besides, even if you didn't, I think it's rude to point it out.

Thanks CJane for being understanding, and gracious. The others only threw stones. Which I guess is ok, I think I was having a bad day. And to Erin who teaches English, my degrees are in Linguistics. I am very well acquainted with the OED, it's an old friend. Modern day useage suggests we differentiate between the two, and the most popular usage of each is what I listed. Thanks to all who care, my point was not to be rude to CJane, and if I was I apologize to her and all of you.

I also cried the first time I saw this print, and it was just on my computer screen. Very touching and beautiful.
