. . . that perfect baby boot solution?

on the subway

i really want to share this tip:

we were wondering what we should do for
the chief's footwear
during our trip to new york.

we wanted something warm
easy to put on
and comfortable for him to walk in.

steph suggested uggs
(warm and no socks needed!)
which was great,
only i couldn't justify spending over $100
on boots he'd wear for a couple months only.

then, my friend brooke told me she bought her son
the ugg-impostors from the girls section at target.

really? i said.
and went to target to check for myself.
$20 later, i was happy about the solution.

and they were perfect in new york.
the doormen started to call him
"the baby with the boots."

Ahhhh! So super cute! I bought some Ugg fakeroos at Costco last year (for myself) and love them. Now I have to stop by Target and check out the ones for the tots--great idea!

Is there a problem for which Target is not the solution?

Don't think so. 'Tis ever spot on.

I bought girl boots from Target for my son last winter too! Glad to know I'm not the only one :)

On the opposite hand, I bought my 3 y.o. girl niece some boy (they didn't look boyish, they were cute!) shoes from Target last Christmas. Ummm......it was unacceptable. What actually happened was she heard my telling her mom about where I got these fabulous shoes, and that they were boy shoes *gasp* and I completely offended her 3 yo sensibilities..... I was so close....

Oh, fart. I put my instead of me. How embarassing for me!

I can agree with the Uggs imposters from Target for a child, but not for an adult. I own 3 pairs and just ordered a pair of tall chocolate Uggs from Nord's online and I cannot wait for them to arrive. Ugg's are a must have in western WA :)

My aunt owns the Red Canyon store in southern Utah and when my lil guy was a baby she gave him some moose skin baby booties that looked like uggs. I LOVED them! I was SO sad when his feet wouldn't fit in them any more. I'm going to have to get him some target wannabes! Thanks for the tip!

Please, please don't call them Uggs! We've had them wayyyyyy longer and if you're being proper call them Ugg Boots but a more comfy version is Uggies. Uggies are best worn with trackies

My Tess is the same age as the chief, and she sports the pink ones from target. So perfect for these little tots in this cold Utah weather!
